Looking for a Melbourne copywriter who works across Australia? Hi, I’m Audrey.
I always tell my clients that ‘About’ pages are not really about them, so I won’t share my entire CV and my dog and my favourite ice-cream on here.
We can definitely talk about it later. It’s just not really relevant now, and you’re busy. So let’s focus on what will actually make a difference to your project.
I work with all kinds of clients.
International techies, social enterprises, local farmers, start-up accountants, award-winning designers… my client list reads like the start of a “These three walked into a bar” joke. Some have glittery websites and need higher-level support; others are beginning at ground-level and aren’t sure what SEO stands for (that’s ok—it’s ‘search-engine optimisation’ and it means ranking in Google searches).
I’m pretty good at copywriting. And getting into my clients’ heads.
(Or so they tell me). I write specifically for you, your business, and your audience. And since I’m really not into client-niching, this means I can write persuasive, powerful corporate copy for the big guys in the morning and then break out the puns or 90s references for another client after lunch. It’s all about your brand and what works for you and your audience.
Just think: you could be smugly writing a review like this in a few short months!
I’ve been working in the industry for a while.
LinkedIn CV version: I've worked in communications for 15+ years, across three continents, and racked up a lot of corporate agency hours advising internationally-recognised clients in New York City, London, and Florida. In past global agency-life, I got to work with Lindt’s Master Chocolatier (and ate my weight in chocolate) and helped design communications strategy and copy for Ford of Europe. I also hold a Masters in Communication Psychology from the London School of Economics, so I’ve got some tricks for getting into your customers’ heads. If you really want more LinkedIn stuff, you can head here.
I genuinely care about my clients and understand first-hand what it’s like to run a business.
I take the time to get to know you and immerse myself in your business and industry. You are the expert, and I listen. This means I can create a solid strategy and write clear, engaging content that actually sounds like you (and works).
I give back to my community.
I always have a pro-bono charity client on my books, and I love using my skills to actually make a difference. A few past charity clients have included the Children’s First Foundation, Ava’s Gala, and Dress for Success.
I know a lot of other senior (ex-agency) marketing professionals.
If you need some support with photography, graphic design (logos etc), or website edits/ development/ design, I can introduce you to some great independent business owners. We work seamlessly together, so you get the agency experience without paying for their glam offices.
I’m a self-professed perfectionist, and I like my clients to be very, very happy.
For your peace of mind, two rounds of edits are written into every copywriting contract, but we rarely need them! I’m really good at getting into your head during the briefing call and working out exactly how to transform those thoughts and ideas into meaningful words that will appeal to your audience.
Basically I’m a Melbourne copywriter, based on the Mornington Peninsula and working with zoom clients Australia-wide. Are we a match?
Let’s schedule a no-obligation call and find out.
I can tell you about my dog then too if you like.
Or if you really aren’t tired of my rambling yet, here’s my blog.
